Details: Calvary is the central theme of God’s redemptive plan started back from the Genesis to Revelation. This is for him to show His love that people can understand. Being God and we as human, it is difficult for us to understand His presence and the best way to explain it is through Calvary.

We don’t like Calvary. It is hard for us to understand. Even the exile from Egypt also questioned the concept of Calvary when they started to complain. Yes it is difficult for us to understand even today in times that we want everything to be easy.

So what God did was sending Jesus Christ so the Calvary that we should be the one to experience, has been carry over to His Son as part of our salvation.

Let’s praise Jesus Christ for what we did. Continue reading Calvary (Hillsong)

Details: God really want to get closer to us, closer that we ever know that is why He sent Jesus Christ to be the bridge for us so we can go back closer again to him. Album: Empires
Release: 2016
Tempo: 71 beats per minute

Details: Just like in their song Rule, as a captain, Jesus must the ruler of our life. He is the captain by means of giving us direction. Being him as captain even there is a storm coming in our journey, we shouldn’t be afraid because we know that God is the captain.

The scenario reflects when disciples were fear of the storm. As they were traveling in the sea and thunder comes, Jesus commanded the sea and the wind to be still and in an instant they got calmed.

This is also happen every time we travel through ship. There are lots of people boarding the ship. They are stranger on one another but all them trusting their captain. Their captain that can make their journey safe otherwise they wouldn’t aboard that ship if they haven’t trust on their captain.

That is also should we do if we accept Jesus as our captain we need just to be still. Continue reading Captain (Hillsong)

Details:  To be honest this is the most crucial point for Christian. Money or God? What matters to us? It is clearly in Mathew 6:24 that we cannot serve two masters. Not only money but also what is the most important thing to us, can we disregard it for the sake of Christ.

Sometimes living in riches and fame make us forget that this is all temporary, that in the end, it is how we are going to spend our eternity with God or the other side? Sometimes we are too much carried away in this world like we are going to live proper but what it Mark 8:36, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

The song reminds us about the riches we can earn through Jesus. It is more than anything that this world can offer. For us Christian, our wealth is in the cross. Continue reading Crowns (Hillsong)
